What Do You Use to Clean a Commercial Sized Hot Dog Roller Grill?
I work at a gas station and need to keep the roller grill clean, I’m only suppossed to be using ice wrapped in a specific kind of rag, that’ s it, and guess what it doesn’t work very well. I was hoping someone out there may have some suggestions other than the current one I’m using…I can’t use anything with chemicals on it, because it’s not safe for the food prep….I know this may sound like a dumb question but if anyone can offer anything I would greatly appreciate it….

How about a scouring pad, or a wire bbq brush?
Yes, You can use Baking Soda,as an abrasive. Sprinkle liberally over the grill, and let set with the dry baking soda on it. That will absorb most of the grease that has accumulated on the surface. Than rinse. The next step I would do,is Wash with both Baking soda and whatever soap you are using.Bye
I agree with the baking soda, along with the baking soda try some vinegar too. I use apple cider vinegar all the time on my pots and pans, skillet too. The baking soda with the vinegar. Vinegar and baking soda is a natural product. Make sure you wipe the rollers good with another wet cleaning towel after cleaning with the soda and vinegar.
I like the baking soda and vinegar solution too. If you need something to scour the surfaces with use crumpled aluminum foil. It works as good as a scouring pad but, because it is cheap, you can throw it away after each use.
